Step 4: Listen to Jesus PDF Print E-mail

Martha and Mary talked to Jesus.

They had a conversation with him. But in their conversation, Jesus always challenged them. He leads them to a fuller knowledge of himself.

Both of them listened to Jesus. This is the most important part in our life in Jesus. We need to listen to him. We need to spend time with him, before the Blessed Sacrament – if possible or in scripture or in our silent moments.

When we listen to Jesus, we will always hear his challenge. Jesus always challenges us to lead us to a deeper knowledge of him. These challenges also come to kick us out of our complacency.

Our relationship with Jesus should always be one that grows. St. Teresa of Avila says that if we are stagnant in our faith, we are sliding back.
