To end this talk, I'd like to tell you a personal experience.

Before I got married, a priest gave me an advice. He said, “as a priest, we made three vows: poverty, obedience and celibacy. But as a married man you also have three vows: simplicity, humility and faithfulness.

Simplicity is to live within your means. He said that the married couple should be content with what they have and not overspend on their wants.

Humility is reverence towards each other. The husband should respect his wife and the wife should respect her husband. They should also humbly submit to the Lord.

Fidelity means that they should remain faithful to each other and to the Lord”.

May the Lord bless the Church with an abundance of holy men and women who willingly live their lives in simplicity, humility and fidelity for the glory of God.
