Another thing about marriage. It is ideal for both parties to be of the same faith. This removes one thing for disagreement. My wife and I sometimes argue about small things like the shirt I wear or whether I have combed my hair or not. So it is expected that if the two are of different faith, disagreements will come.
Many may think that the other will convert after marriage, they are mistaken. There's too many challenges in marriage so adding one more will make it more difficult. For men who have unbelieving wives, it will be easier to lead the wife to the Lord. But women with unbelieving husbands will find it more difficult, just because the man is to lead the family and not the woman. However, if one is in such a relationship, there is hope. 1 Peter 2 says,
“Likewise you wives, be submissive to your husbands, so that some, though they do not obey the word, may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, when they see your reverent and chaste behavior. Let not yours be the outward adorning with braiding of hair, decoration of gold, and wearing of fine clothing, but let it be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable jewel of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious”. Continue to live a life that is honorable and one that glorifies God. Scripture says that your husbands may be won without a word but by your reverent and chaste behavior. This is God's promise so this will happen. It will be difficult, but with prayer and faith, it can be done!
