The ocean is a large body of water. The water flows through a river and the river flows back to the ocean. The water in the ocean has the same nature as the water in river. The water is wet. It is colourless and when the water flows, there is power. When one sees and feels the water in the river, one already knows how the water in the ocean looks like and feels like. But the ocean is not the river and the river is not the ocean.

Similarly, the Father is God and Jesus is God. But both of them are different persons.
