Psalm15 PDF Print E-mail
n this psalm, David asks who can stand before God. Then he proceeds to answer this question:
  1. walks upright and does what is right
  2. speaks truth - does not slander
  3. does no evil to his friends
  4. does not slur his neighbor
  5. despises a vile man but honors one who fears the Lord
  6. keeps an oath even when it hurts
  7. does not lend in usury
  8. does not take a bribe
Then he concludes that whoever does these things will not be shaken.

If one chooses to live a life according to the Law of God - to be righteous, one will not be shaken. This person will be able to live in the house of the Lord. When one lives in union with God, one is assured of God's protection. These things that David lists can be the guide to righteous living.

It ends with a promise - he who does these things shall never be shaken. When one does what is right, God is their defender. God will make sure that they are protected.

Lord, my ambition is to live with you because you are all I have and you are all I need.
