I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:3-6
This will probably be my last article. Since last year, the Lord
has indeed blest me and opened up many opportunities for me, both
career-wise and in my ministry. One of the effects of these blessings
is that it has forced me to make a decision on my priorities.
I feel that after 6 years (or so), of writing my thoughts on the
Lord, it is time to at least take a year of rest, a sabbatical of
sort. God willing, I will be able to write again once I have settled
down.
I thank the Lord for this opportunity to be able to share with
you. I thank the Genesis Catholic Community in Jakarta for giving me
this privilege to be able to express myself. Thank you for being
patient with me. Through these six years, the Lord has surprised me.
Some comments will come when I least expect it. These are moments of
surprises that indeed shows the power of God.
I hope and pray that my articles have at least made you think of
your relationship with the Lord. It has always been my prayer that I
will write in a way that is easy to understand and also truthful –
according to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
I close with the prayer of Paul to the Philippians. I thank the
Lord every time I remember you. Our years of stay in Indonesia are
very memorable. These had been years of growth. Please pray for my
family and I that we may continue to grow in holiness and give glory
to the Lord.
God will finish what he has began in all of us. May the Lord Jesus
be glorified in our lives ALWAYS!
